Ribbon cutting marks the largest expansion in the non-profit’s 163-year history of serving Johnson County seniors.

OLATHE, KS – On Thursday, April 23, Evergreen Community will officially open the doors to its new campus, marking a transformative milestone for one of the region’s oldest and most dedicated senior care organizations.

Tracing its origins back to the Civil War era in 1863, Evergreen has evolved from a county-run home into a premier non-profit leader in “person-centered” care. The new campus represents more than just modern construction; it is the culmination of over a century of commitment to providing dignity and high-quality care to seniors, regardless of their financial resources.

“This new campus represents our commitment to the future of aging services in our community,” said Chris Osborn.

“As a non-profit, our focus has always been on people, not profit, and this expansion allows us to serve more individuals with the dignity, compassion, and personalized care they deserve.”

WHAT: Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The event will feature a formal ribbon cutting, remarks from community leaders, and guided tours of the new “neighborhood-style” campus, which now includes independent living, assisted living, and memory care alongside its legacy skilled nursing services.
