Although Greg Sechrist officially joined Locust Grove Village as Administrator in May, he has already been hard at work getting to know the residents, families, employees, and community members who make Locust Grove Village so special.
Over the past several weeks, Greg has immersed himself in learning the day-today operations of the organization, meeting with staff, listening to residents and families, and building relationships throughout the community. His focus has been on understanding what has made Locust Grove Village successful while identifying opportunities to continue enhancing the quality of care and services provided to those we serve.
Greg brings 40 years of experience in long-term care leadership and healthcare operations. Throughout his career, he has been committed to improving resident care, supporting employees, strengthening community relationships, and helping organizations grow while maintaining a person-centered approach to care. Greg is coming back to western Kansas after 32 years in Longview Texas. He has a varied background in long term care spanning administrative, corporate and leadership positions. He grew up in Hays, KS and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Fort Hays State University.
I am honored to be part of the Locust Grove Village family,” Greg said. “Over the
past several weeks, I’ve been welcomed with incredible kindness by our
residents, families, staff, Board of Directors, and community members. I look
forward to continuing to build those relationships while working together to
ensure Locust Grove Village remains a place where people feel at home and
receive exceptional care.”
The Locust Grove Village Board of Directors is excited to have Greg leading the organization and is confident that his experience,
leadership, and passion for serving others will help continue the mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care to our
community.
Community members who have not yet had the opportunity to meet Greg are invited to attend a Community Meet & Greet, on Tuesday, July
14th from 2:30 p.m. till 4:30 p.m. Greg looks forward to meeting more members of the community, hearing their stories, and continuing to
build on the strong tradition of care that has made Locust Grove Village a trusted part of Rush County for decades.
Thank you to Tayci Helm, Human Resources Director at Locust Grove Village, for sharing this exciting update with our members.
