In February, at Oklahoma Methodist Manor in Tulsa, OK Summit Care staff honored Black history month by giving elders the opportunity to paint traditional African masks! Therapy can be involved in any activity and we can’t stress that enough. Art and crafts, plus cultural learning was a great form of therapy for these residents. The activity helped them to work on socialization, postural control, activity tolerance, and fine motor and dexterity strengthening.
