Members and consumers continue to have issues with the KanCare Clearinghouse and Medicaid Application processing. A concern we hear is that patient liabilities are typically too high. It is important to communicate this to the Clearinghouse by sending documentation of the individual’s income. We encourage you to follow up with a call, preferably with the member/ family member present. We hope many of you had an opportunity to attend one of the joint KanCare/MCO training sessions as well as the KanCare Reauthorization meetings. Please continue to keep LeadingAge Kansas updated on what issues you are having in this area by emailing Lisa Stuever at  or Rachel Monger at rachel@leadingagekansas.org.
