Catholic Care Center expands service line with addition of new Senior Behavioral Health Hospital.
Catholic Care Center will begin construction next week on a Senior Behavioral Health addition to their senior living campus located at 45th Street North and Woodlawn. The hospital is part of a $13 million project which also includes the renovation of the Center’s Long-Term Care residence.
Catholic Care Center, a leader in senior living since 1990, is beginning work on the addition of a Senior Behavior Health Hospital. This hospital will serve the unique needs of seniors in our area who are experiencing mental health challenges due to Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, and other neurological conditions.
The hospital will join the existing services currently offered at Catholic Care Center which include Independent Living, Assisted Living, nationally recognized Memory Care, Long-Term Care, and Short-Term Skilled Nursing. Cindy LaFleur, Executive Director/CEO of Catholic Care Center shared the community’s excitement for this addition, “Catholic Care Center has an outstanding reputation in the community for being an innovator in Alzheimer’s and dementia programming. The addition of the Senior Behavioral Health hospital will allow us to continue this legacy by providing acute care behavioral services to our own residents and to the ever growing of seniors in the Wichita area who are in need of this important level of care.
The project is scheduled to be completed in June 2023 and is estimated to cost $13 million. Simpson Construction is the General Contractor and Intrust Bank is financing the project. A kick-off event is scheduled for Friday, June 10th at 2:00 at the community.
