This summer, we are spotlighting the passionate, strategic, and dedicated individuals who guide LeadingAge Kansas, KING, EBI, and our Foundation to service and success.

Annette Redhair has worked in aging services for nearly 20 years, exclusively in skilled nursing and the not-for-profit sector. Throughout her career, Annette has had the opportunity to lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, managed care strategy, compliance, and supporting the evolving needs of providers and residents. Her current role with Ascension Living is Director of Operational Excellence.

What keeps Annette excited about serving seniors?

Aging services is constantly evolving, which keeps the work both meaningful and challenging. I’m energized by the growing demand for senior care, the complexity of changing payment models, and the opportunity to help organizations adapt while continuing to provide quality care for residents. Most importantly, I value serving a population that deserves dignity, advocacy, and innovation.

What does Annette enjoy about serving on our board?

One of the things I value most about serving on a board is the connection with providers across the state who are all working toward similar goals. It’s an opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and advocate for policies that directly impact our residents, workforce, and the future of aging services in Kansas.

Outside of healthcare, I recently started a small-batch coffee company called Jumbled Coffee. The company focuses on exceptionally fresh coffee while also helping bring awareness to dyslexia. It’s been a fun and meaningful creative outlet for my family that combines entrepreneurship with a personal mission.
