State House Candidate Survey Responses Now Available
LeadingAge Kansas is pleased to announce that responses to our 2026 Kansas State House Candidate Survey are now available as part of our Election Year Toolkit.
The survey was distributed to candidates running for the Kansas House of Representatives and asked questions about their backgrounds, familiarity with aging services, and perspectives on issues affecting older adults and the providers who serve them. The responses are intended to help members become better informed about the candidates seeking office in their districts.
The candidate survey is one of many resources available through the LeadingAge Kansas Election Year Toolkit, which also includes:
- Voter registration information
- Polling place lookup tools
- Advance ballot applications
- Important election deadlines
- Official Kansas election resources
- Guidance on nonprofit engagement in elections and maintaining nonpartisanship
- Resources for hosting candidate forums and election-related events
We encourage members to bookmark the Election Year Toolkit and refer to it throughout the election season as additional resources and information become available.
Connect with Candidates at Upcoming Regional Meet & Greets
LeadingAge Kansas encourages members to join us and our healthcare association partners for upcoming regional Candidate Meet & Greet events. These informal networking opportunities provide members with the chance to engage directly with candidates running for state office and discuss the issues that matter most to aging services providers and the older adults we serve.
We recently kicked off our first event at Lakeview Village, where we had an excellent turnout from providers, candidates, and partner associations. We followed that with another successful meet-and-greet in Wichita, continuing the momentum and providing additional opportunities for candidates to hear directly from aging services professionals. These conversations have been thoughtful and productive, giving candidates valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing aging services across Kansas while allowing providers to begin building relationships with the policymakers who may soon represent their communities.
We would love to see even more LeadingAge Kansas members participate in our upcoming events. There is no substitute for hearing directly from providers who serve older adults every day. Your experiences, expertise, and perspectives help educate future policymakers and build relationships that continue long after Election Day.
