Seven residents of Brewster, a fine LeadingAge Kansas member in Topeka, were recently selected by Brewster residents for a “7 over 70” panel discussion, to be hosted by TV station KTWU personality Eugene Williams.

Categories included: Good Neighbor, Wellness Rock Star, Visioneer, Resident Ambassador, Brewster Cheerleader, Nature Advocate and Volunteer Star.

Panel discussion questions included:

  1. What has been your biggest accomplishment in your life?
  2. What do you still want to accomplish (i.e. bucket list)?
  3. Who/what is your inspiration?
  4. What is your biggest pet peeve?
  5. What do you like most about living here?
  6. What advice would you give to the younger generation?

What a wonderful way to recognize great people and harness their wisdom for others.

Rachel is a Kansas licensed attorney and adult care home administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund.
