The Mature Market Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the senior market, recognizes the nation’s finest marketing, communications, educational materials, and programs designed and produced for older adults. Recently the company announced its winners for the 25th Annual Mature Media Awards that included Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA).

PMMA received a silver award for its 2016 Art is Ageless® calendar and also received a merit award for its redesigned campus websites.

Art is Ageless is a trademarked program of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, a faith-based not-for-profit organization with 17 retirement communities in Kansas and Missouri. Each community holds a juried art competition exclusively for people age 65 and older. Winning art may be chosen to appear in a calendar or note cards. Periodic programs and classes are held throughout the year to encourage seniors to express their creativity.

Art is Ageless began in 1981 when resident art was featured in a calendar.  Knowing how a creative outlet can benefit the mind, body and spirit is just one reason that in 2006 PMMA opened its Art is Ageless competition to all seniors in the area. Learn more about the program at www.ArtIsAgeless.org.

The PMMA campus websites were redesigned in 2015 to freshen their look and offer additional resources to assist seniors and their family members with making decisions about senior living.

The entries were judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the United States for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market.

PMMA began in Newton, KS, 1949 and now has 17 senior living communities in Kansas and Missouri. Its mission of providing quality senior services guided by Christian values is provided throughout all levels of living: independent and assisted living, long-term care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation, respite care and adult day services. Press Release submitted by Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America.  Congratulations to all involved in this exciting program!
