Thank you for those who joined us last week at conference and for those who weren’t able to be there, here’s a recap of what you missed.

  • Scott Carbonara, the Leadership Therapist kicked off our conference discussing change, leading through uncertainty and got the crowd going for some interactive activities.
  • The Town Hall Conversation with LeadingAge National was a success! Members provided valuable feedback to Marsha Greenfield and Danny Sanford that can be taken back to the national level to help us.
  • Our first Candidate Forum on Aging Issues in conjunction with AARP Kansas, Alzehimer’s Association, and the Area Agencies on Aging and Disability Association was a great opportunity to receive information from Independent Candidate for Governor Greg Orman, Independent Candidate for Governor Rick Kloos and Lt. Governor on behalf of Laura Kelly, Lynn Rogers. All three joined us to present their feelings regarding aging issues. We even made the news! Watch the segment from WIBW in Topeka.
  • Updates we received from the KanCare MCOs, KDHE, Maximus and KDADS Commissioner Brad Fischer.
  • Great turnout from our Exhibitors!
