Monday, Larksfield Place in Wichita hosted their  7th Annual Pumpkin Drop and Chili Feed.  It’s a fun way to do away with those shrinking pumpkins and featured guests, residents, grandchildren and staff dropping pumpkins from a third story apartment balcony.

Participants could hit a target below and win a prize! It’s a BYOP (Bring your own pumpkin event). This year, they had a very special guest, 9-year-old Luke from LUKE’S FALL FARMSTAND, Kechi, KS.  Luke’s grandma lives at Larksfield and was excited to dote on her entrepreneurial grandson!

Pumpkin guts are then turned into deer feed.
