The CMS COVID-19 Focus Survey for Nursing Homes was implemented on March 23, 2020, and updated on May 6, 2020. CMS expects nursing homes to use this new process, in conjunction with the latest guidance from CDC, to perform a voluntary self-assessment of their ability to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.  

This webinar will focus on:

  • What surveyors are looking for in the 9 sections of the CMS COVID-19 Survey.
  • Tips and tools you can use for completing the survey and assessing readiness for infection prevention and control.
  • Lessons learned from the first months of this survey.
