The training from CMS on the new MDS is here! CMS has outlined a 2-part virtual learning series for nursing home providers on the new MDS v1.18.11 that goes into effect October 1, 2023. Part 1 of the series is self-paced and available on YouTube here. Providers should complete Part 1 ahead of the Part 2 live virtual workshop scheduled for June 21st, 11:30 – 4:00 PM CT. Rachel is a Kansas licensed attorney and adult care home administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services.
