The Alzheimer’s Association released their annual Facts and Figures report which echoes much of the recent public conversations on the home care workforce. The report states that the country needs to have almost 35% more home health and personal care aides by 2028 to care for a coming surge in patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Some states range up to 60%. The report also says there needs to be more dementia-related training for all members of the care team.
