Tallgrass Creek Retirement Community recently celebrated Eden Pierce of Kansas City Christian School who is its Class of 2016 Student Scholar at an Award Ceremony. Pierce earned a four-year collegiate scholarship from the $24,818.00 raised this year by residents.
In the previous 7 years, the Tallgrass Creek Scholars Program has raised $192,000 assisting students to advance their collegiate careers.
To be eligible for a scholarship, the students employed in the Dining Services Department must work a minimum of 1,000 hours between their junior and senior years of high school, build positive relationships with residents and maintain a strong work record while employed at Tallgrass Creek.
