LeadingAge Kansas is pleased to be offering this intensive leadership program for the first time since 2020. The program is designed to help both formal and informal leaders, at all career stages, grow their skills and confidence, have greater impact in their organizations and use their influence to advocate. The program includes a combination of four in-person workshops, zoom-based small group discussions, readings, and action learning. Key learning topics include Discovering Your Authentic Leadership, Leading Through Advocacy and Community Relationships, Leading Change and Leading, Empowering and Motivating. The program is led by professionals in the field that are enthusiastic about leadership and helping others grow.

Applications must be submitted by noon on September 8th. A limited number of scholarships are available to help offset program costs.

Stephanie Gfeller, MS, LACHA is the Director of Education and Leadership. Stephanie joined the association in 2019 and oversees the development of our education programs, writes and manages all of our federal grant programs, and leads our Center for Leadership program. With her master’s degree in Gerontology from Kansas State University, adult care home administrator license, experience as a researcher and instructor at the K State Center on Aging, and endless creativity, Stephanie is ideally suited to her leadership role in our field. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys reading, supporting her kids at all their activities, serving as a 4-H club leader, and being outside helping on her family farm.
