Three area nursing homes made a list published annually by Kansas Advocates for Better Care as among the best homes in the state for scoring from 0 to 5 deficiencies during their last three inspections, including zero deficiencies during an inspector’s latest visit.

Only 10 nursing homes in the state made the list.

The area homes on that list included Moundridge Manor in Moundridge, Bethel Home in Montezuma and Sterling Presbyterian Manor in Sterling.

Bethel Home drew an extra distinction for having three consecutive inspections with zero deficiencies.
