Prairie Village Retirement Community Hosts Local Third-Graders to Make Valentine’s and Shower the Love at VA Hospital.

Claridge Court, a Life Care community in Prairie Village, is creating Valentine’s Day cards for people at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Residents and team members from the Claridge Court community will be joined by Highlawn Montessori School students and teachers on Monday.

Every year, Claridge Court residents write and draw Valentine’s Day cards for those in need within the Kansas City metro. This year, the group is extending its “Shower the Love” event to a local school. Third-graders from Highlawn Montessori School will spend their morning with residents and team members of the community making cards for veterans. This intergenerational event aims at helping students and seniors connect. The cards will be given to the VA hospital on Valentine’s Day by Claridge Court residents and team members.
