Kudos to Orie Ensz, Administrator at Good Samaritan Society-Parsons, for being an advocacy champion for LeadingAge Kansas members and the people you all serve! Orie has had a couple of good conversations with state representative Richard Proehl in the last month about the tattered state of Medicaid and the need for a fix. Orie said, “We had a great lunch last week. In fact, Rep. Proehl brought up the Medicaid cuts up first. He is very concerned and said he will do what he can to get that amount reinstated. He understands our dilemma.” Next up for “Advocate Ensz”: a visit with his new state senator Dan Goddard.
