Update on Distribution of $15M ARPA Funds for Nursing Home Staffing
In today’s meeting with KDADS we learned that the process to get the $15M ARPA funds for nursing homes ($762 per licensed nursing home bed) for staffing-related needs is making progress. The State Office of Recovery has cleared the plan. Around September 1st, KDADS plans send each nursing home administrator a message that will include a beneficiary agreement and a document detailing acceptable uses. Administrators will have 2 weeks to sign and return the forms. If all goes as planned, the dollars may go out on October 1st.  TWO IMPORTANT NOTES: The provider’s SAMS number must be entered on the beneficiary agreement. The Agency will send the application/agreement to the administrator’s email address as shown in KOTA.  Make sure your KOTA information is up to date.

More Antigen Tests Coming
A second round of antigen tests will be sent out to providers this week, according to Dr. Joan Duwve, KDHE State Medical Officer.
