New on the LeadingAge Kansas website, our Governance Resource Portal is a member-exclusive hub to help your community and your Board thrive. Over the last couple years, our team has partnered with GovernWell, a nationally respected healthcare governance company, to develop a series of resources designed to empower you and your board to collaborate and govern effectively.

The portal currently features a collection of Board Briefs—short documents to guide your board through the basics of their role, including Building a Strong Board-CEO Relationship, Understanding the Difference Between Governance and Management Responsibilities, Continuity at the Top: Ensuring Stability in Leadership Succession, and more. Also included are materials from GovernWell’s GuideWell module: a fully customizable set of sample policies to help ensure accountability for your board and your organization.

Our goal is to continue growing this portal through our partnership with GovernWell, and in the meantime, we encourage you to review what is readily available and put the resources to good use in your community.
