Midland Care Connection, Inc. is expanding its services to older adults across northeast Kansas.

Through its subsidiary, Midland Care Physician Services, the organization has acquired Vintage Medical Associates (VMA), a primary care practice dedicated to caring for seniors in a variety of living settings.

This partnership strengthens coordination between medical care and supportive services, helping ensure smoother transitions, better communication among providers, and a more seamless experience for patients and families.

Dr. Timothy Heston and VMA providers currently serve more than 600 patients across 33 senior living communities—including rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and independent living—in Topeka, Manhattan, and Lawrence. As part of the acquisition, all VMA providers and staff are joining the Midland Care team.

“This acquisition strengthens our strategy to expand access to integrated, person-centered care for older adults,” said Midland Care President and CEO Shawn Sullivan.

By adding primary care services, Midland Care continues to build a more connected care model—making it easier for patients to manage chronic conditions, coordinate follow-up care, and access the support they need, all in one place.
