Midland Care Connection in Topeka successfully met a $500,000 challenge grant from the JE and LE Mabee Foundation, Inc out of Tulsa, Oklahoma by raising $5.5 million. The funds will be used to renovate a building to create a Center for Senior Independence known as the Compass Center which will house the PACE program including a clinic, wellness gym, activity rooms and adult day center space, as well as a new kitchen for Meals on Wheels. It will also assist with renovations to the Hospice House and Center for Hope and Healing.  Congratulations to Karren Weichert and all of the individuals at Midland Care that made this possible.  Read their entire press release.
