On December 1st, the Mayor of Olathe, John Bacon, and the Olathe Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board visited Evergreen Community to present the Evergreen team with an impressive honor.

The Olathe Human Relations Commission and the Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board present the City of Olathe Community and Accessible Community Awards each year. The award is designed to celebrate businesses, civic organizations, and individuals who have made significant contributions to enhance human rights, equality, cultural diversity, and the pursuit of disability inclusiveness.

To be eligible, persons must live and/or work in the City of Olathe. Persons living and/or working elsewhere who have had a positive impact upon or on behalf of disabled citizens of Olathe are also eligible.

Evergreen Community of Johnson County is honored to be the recipient of the 2020 Accessible Community Award for excellence in serving the elderly with innovative person centered care. Chris Osborn, CEO of Evergreen Living Innovations, shared with the team, “Be proud of what you do every day to carry on Evergreen’s mission. People notice and appreciate your dedication and the care you provide. Know that more than ever during this difficult time you are making a difference.”
