Charlie the Wallaby earned welcoming smiles from Ruth Holzschuh (center, striped shirt) and Kay Ward (lower right, pink shirt) as his owner Kim Canter (far left) showed him off to a patio full of delighted Tallgrass Creek onlookers.

Canter is from Colorado, and while visiting Kansas family members, she stopped by to share her unique pet with Tallgrass Creek residents, including her grandmother Dot Kleikamp.

Charlie’s sweet nature captured the hearts of all as he hopped around the patio, pausing frequently for lots of petting.
