CMS recommends these three resources if you have general questions about the Durable medical Equipment (DME) competitive bidding program, or if you are experiencing delays, problems with delivery, complications with paperwork being rejected, etc.:

  • General information – DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program website.
  • Michal Mitko CMS Region 7 Competitive Bidding Liaison. Contact him at (803) 763-5752 or michal.mitko@palmettogba.com. The Liaison fields requests from both providers and beneficiaries for assistance, submission of complaints, and other issues.
  • The Medicare Supplier Directory. Enter a beneficiary’s zip code to find contract suppliers. It includes both competitive and non-competitive bid categories and examples of the types of equipment/devices in each category. Up to five items can be selected; click “Search” at the bottom of the page for suppliers. Competitive bid supplier information is updated on a weekly basis.
