The 2020 Cost Report Navigator is officially available for members to access. Bland & Associates presented a walkthrough of the Navigator at the Fall Conference, and if you missed their session, they emphasized the following –
- Members can utilize the Cost Report Navigator to analyze their 2020 revenues and expenses reported on the 2020 Kansas Medicaid Cost Report.
- The Navigator contains a variety of metrics that can enable users to evaluate their expenses, staffing, and Medicaid reimbursement for their individual facility, relative to other facilities’ reported data.
- The July 1, 2021 Medicaid Rate amount reflected in the Navigator is not based on your 2020 Medicaid cost report. The July 1, 2021 Medicaid rate is based upon cost report years 2017, 2018 and 2019.
- Don’t forget context when performing your analysis. Use filters and features in the Navigator to compare metrics across similar facilities (e.g., location or size)
