Nursing homes need to conduct assessments of power strips on a yearly basis. This assessment means going around your entire building/community on an annual basis, and making sure that the power strips and surge protectors are being used in their correct areas. The Fire Marshal has provided an easy checklist for you to follow so you can know if you are using the correct power strip in the correct area.
