  • Discuss collaboration strategies with other long-term care facilities and emergency management professionals.
  • Build an understanding of CMS emergency preparedness rules for long-term care facilities and resources that can help you increase your organization’s emergency preparedness.
  • Learn about conducting a threat and hazard analysis and explore strategies on developing a long-term care regional hazard vulnerability analysis.
  • Explore strategies for meeting emergency preparedness requirements, such as, managing volunteers; communications with staff, patients, and families; and internal training with residents or clients.

Gain an understanding of how to conduct a tabletop exercise within your facility or organization.
