Locust Grove Village has been selected #1 in the recent Best of the Best Awards for the second year in a row. The annual event is the Official People’s Choice Awards for this region and is sponsored by the Hays Daily News

There were over 105 categories to select a favorite business. LGV was included in the Home, Home Services & Finance division under nursing facility and assisted living facility categories.

Locust Grove Village was selected #1 in both categories — coming out over other businesses in the region.

In 2017, LGV was a top 3 finalist in the same categories. But in 2018 and again this year, Locust Grove Village came out in the #1 position. Charlotte Rathke, Administrator and other members of the Leadership staff were on hand to accept the honors at the Awards Dinner and Ceremony held at the Schenk Building Ellis County Fairgrounds in Hays.  Among beautiful decorations, Gella’s Diner and Lb Brewing Company served a delicious catered meal.

Rathke commented, “We are so proud of the work we do in serving elders of Rush County and the central Kansas region. What an honor to have the public vote us #1 in this online process”.

The Hays Daily News sponsors this annual program but in just the past few years have opened it up to include businesses outside of Ellis County. The Awards Ceremony featured  the reigning Miss Fort Hays State Rodeo Queen for 2019 as emcee for the evening. Thank you to all our supporters and friends for the great honor of being named BEST OF THE BEST 2019.

Congratulations to everyone who made that happen!
