Governor Kelly on Friday last week announced the group of stakeholders who would be appointed to work with the University of Kansas Care Collaborative team to have a proposal prepared to submit to CMS by November 5 for the Rural Health Transformation Funding. This funding allotment was included in OBBBA passed on July 4 and is aimed at addressing rural health needs across all 50 states over a 5-year time frame. Kansas is taking a multidisciplinary approach to address rural healthcare needs in hospitals, behavioral health, primary care, aging services and more.
