Nearly 100 Tallgrass Creek retirement community residents, staff and family members participated in the recently-held Blue Sage Pointe continuing care neighborhood’s Olympics.

The two-week event featured Wii bowling, Frisbee discus toss, Nerf gun shooting range, soda pong/bounce out, remote car races, ladder ball toss, bean bag toss, squirt gun races, and softball shotput.

Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals were awarded in each event.

Blue Sage Pointe includes  assisted living, memory care, and post-acute rehabilitation services. Spacious common areas, in-room dining options, screened-in porches and gardens are among the amenities that contribute to a person-centered approach to health and wellness.

The neighborhood incorporates the integrated health care model developed by Erickson Living, the manager and developer of Tallgrass Creek. Full-time physicians, electronic medical records and training for all employees serving residents in the continuing care neighborhood have resulted in geriatric health care metrics that exceed national averages across the Erickson enterprise.
