The KanCare MCO’s have scheduled another collaborative session with training for medical and institutional providers.  The Topeka session is October 20th and the Wichita session is November 8th.

Some topics that will be covered include:

  • Eligibility and MCO assignment
  • Use of the KMAP Website
  • How to determine covered benefits
  • PA requirements
  • Review of top denials and how to resolve them
  • Common billing issues and how to resolve them
  • Recent state policy changes and how they affect providers
  • Coordination of benefits
  • Appeals and grievances
  • Fraud, waste & abuse (FWA)

Please note that the session will not cover items for HCBS-related services. The morning and afternoon sessions are identical. Please select the time that works best for you. Register online.

Addy Cunningham
A graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. First as Administrative Coordinator and now as Associate Director of Communications & Events, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with the team to plan, produce, and market events across all aspects of LeadingAge Kansas, manage Continuing Education processing.. Outside of the office, Addy enjoys crafting, playing board games, video games, and DnD, and spending time with her husband and their two cats.
