Locust Grove Village in LaCrosse recently held a State Legislator Candidate Forum on their campus, in cooperation with the LaCrosse Chamber of Commerce.  All four of their state senate and representative candidates (see photo above) were on hand to speak before a crowd of about 30 voters.  All of the candidates noted that this was the largest single gathering they had addressed.

Administrator Charlotte Rathke took the opportunity to raise the issue of Medicaid cuts and negative impacts on providers of long term care services and the people they serve. One candidate approached Charlotte and asked to meet with her about this and other issues before he heads to Topeka in January.

Way to go Charlotte and team!
