The Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health in Nursing Facilities (COE-NF) continues to provide multiple educational opportunities and resources for nursing homes, including two webinars of particular interest in October.

On Thursday, October 22 they will host a 30-minute webinar “An Introduction to Trauma-informed Care” that will cover the principles of trauma-informed care and techniques for creating a safe environment for residents and staff.

An Easy Pill to Swallow: Nonpharmacological Interventions for Long-Term Care Residents” on October 29 will introduce various non-drug approaches through real-life case examples and discuss development of person-centered strategies to improve symptoms and reduce the need for PRN medications and emergency hospitalizations. ACCME and NAB credits will be available for both webinars.
