On Wednesday, November 1st at 3:15 PM CT, CMS released the final Home Health prospective payment rule for CY2024. CMS backed off on their initial proposed cut; CMS finalized a -2.89% cut, offset by a slight increase to the market basket rate in the initial proposed rule to 3.3%.

While LeadingAge appreciates that CMS did not go through with their full proposal, they remain concerned with the underlying methodology and its impact on members as well as the impact of future cuts. The rule itself can be found here. An article on the rule will be available in the coming days. Read LeadingAge’s statement on the final rule here.
