The six new Quality Measures recently posted on Nursing Home Compare, have been deployed to LeadingAge Nursing Home Quality Metrics.  To run analyses on the new quality measures, log on to LeadingAge Quality Metrics, select “Nursing Home Quality Metrics” in the Tools area,  click on “Analysis Manager’ and then choose from the Group, Peer or QM Time Series Analyses. Note: Currently, the three claims-based measures’ rates, although based on a year’s worth of data, are reported as a single rate, so they are not yet available in the Time Series Analysis. In addition, the Quarterly State Reports have been updated and now contain graphs for each of the 3 new MDS-based measures in the 4th quarter 2015 report.  Graphs for the claims-based measures will be available at a later date as more data becomes available.  The CMS MDS 3.0 Quality Measures User Manual, Version 10.0, effective April 1, 2016 has been posted to the Resources section of the Nursing Home Quality Metrics website.  In July 2016, CMS plans to integrate five of the six new measures into the Five Star Rating System.  Once they do, we will update the LeadingAge Five Star Analysis to include all available information pertaining to these new measures.
