1. Contact the bank you do business with to see if they plan to participate in the Kansas Extraordinary Utility Costs Loan Deposit Program created by Senate Bill 86. It will allow banks and credit unions that apply to be part of the Program to give low interest loans to businesses for their big natural gas bills.
  2. File an informal or formal complaint with the Kansas Corporation Commission  (they regulate the utility companies)
  3. File a price gouging complaint with the KS Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division at 785-296-3751. The Kansas Attorney General is conducting an investigation into natural gas price gouging.
