• The 2022 Kansas Legislature significantly increased funding to the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC). KHRC held a webinar last week on new state resources to develop quality, affordable housing. development programs, proposed rules, processes, and potential timeline for awarding funds.   • HUD is hosting a three-webinar series on the national Housing Trust Fund, which provides grants to states to produce and preserve affordable housing for extremely low- and very low-income households. This three-part webinar series will include a detailed review of the regulatory requirements for the use of HTF program funds including eligible activities, long-term affordability requirements, eligible costs, the required policies and procedures, and the administrative requirements. The webinars are on May 26th, June 1st, and June 2nd from Noon -2 PM.

Rachel is a Kansas licensed attorney and adult care home administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund.
