Here is what participants are saying about the program:

  • “Center for Leadership has changed me both personally and professionally. I have developed relationships; mended relationships and I have great knowledge moving forward to be the best leader I can be. In such a fast-paced, ever changing healthcare world, it is imperative to have great leaders in the right areas going forward. The care of our seniors is on the verge of growing at a rapid rate and with that growth, effective leadership is at the highest need it has ever been. I’m thankful and blessed that I was able to take this journey, it was perfect timing for me in so many ways.” ~ Misty Stewart, DON at Sheridan County Health Complex in Hoxie, Class of 2019
  • “The personal growth and development I have experienced with CFL has been priceless. I wish I could replicate this entire experience for my team. I have built very solid relationships with the other fellows that I know will lean on through the rest of my career.” ~ Desi Flerlag, Executive Director of the Presbyterian Manor of Salina, Class of 2019
  • “This has been such a growth experience for me on a personal level. That in turn will impact how we leader in our organization and our communities. This course is a lot of work but with anything we do, you can get out of it what you put in. If you are serious about personal growth, this course will NOT disappoint!” ~Janet Fulmer, Director of Human Resources at Asbury Park in Newton, Class of 2018
  • “Center for Leadership has helped to explore people and places I wouldn’t have. I am able to step outside of myself and look at me before I help others work through their issues. Taking a moment to listen is more valuable than jumping to give an answer.” ~Cristal Hernandez, Staff Development Coordinator with Evergreen Community of Johnson County in Olathe, Class of 2018
  • “The Center for Leadership not only gave me the tools to grow as a leader in my organization, it has also given me an opportunity to develop relationships with professionals who share my passion in changing aging services in Kansas.” ~ Mary Chipley, Director of Nursing at High Plains Retirement Center in Lakin, Class of 2018
