We are excited to have this event for the first time since 2019 and hope to see caregivers from your building attend. During the training caregivers will learn from topic experts, connect with peers, and be celebrated for all they do. The half-day workshop will take place on June 13th in Salina. Training sessions will center around understanding and supporting each resident as an individual. Here is what they will experience during this half-day learning experience:

  • Person-Centered Bathing
    • This will include learning about bathing alternatives through hands-on learning.
  • Understanding and Supporting Residents with Dementia
    •  Attendees will form a human brain to see processing differences between a healthy brain and a brain with dementia.
  • A keynote from Amy Siple focused on caregiver health and well-being.
  • Lunch and prize drawings

This training was developed specifically for CNAs/CMA’s/HHA’s and RA’s, but all are welcome, and CE will be provided. Learn more and get your team registered. If you’d like to send four or more, contact nicole@leadingagekansas.org for a team discount code.

Psst…If you are sending staff to this, consider having them come in the morning for the Resident to Staff Aggression Prevention and Response training. There is no cost to attend in the morning, but separate registration is required. For more information or to get registered, visit register for the Resident to Staff and Response training, TOO.
