United Healthcare sent out an invitation for their Dual Special Needs Plan Meeting scheduled for March 22 at 10 AM CST. This is a Medicare Advantage plan for Dual Eligible members. UHC would like for all of their providers to be present but they encourage providers in the below counties to attend this training as this plan is only available in these areas at this time:

  • Butler
  • Cowley
  • Douglas
  • Franklin
  • Harvey
  • Jackson
  • Jefferson
  • Johnson
  • Leavenworth
  • Miami
  • Osage
  • Sedgewick
  • Sumner
  • Wyandotte

In this Webinar, UHC will be providing a high level overview of their UHC DSNP:

  • UHC launched DSNP in KS in January 2017.
  • Members that have this plan may reside in your facilities or may come for a skilled stay.
  • They will be eligible for Medicare Parts A&B, and also have Medicaid with one of the 3 MCO’s.
  • They will be discussing plan requirements and billing guidelines.

A graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. First as Administrative Coordinator and now as Associate Director of Communications & Events, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with the team to plan, produce, and market events across all aspects of LeadingAge Kansas, manage Continuing Education processing.. Outside of the office, Addy enjoys crafting, playing board games, video games, and DnD, and spending time with her husband and their two cats.
