CMS released a Fact Sheet on March 7 to help answer questions about billing for respiratory vaccines in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). This Fact Sheet comes about after requests from LeadingAge and other stakeholders for CMS to provide clear information on this issue, which has served as a barrier to vaccine uptake in SNFs. LeadingAge provided feedback to CMS on the draft to help clarify language and processes. The Fact Sheet provides information on billing for both the vaccine and the administration of the vaccine and covers RSV, flu, pneumococcal, and COVID vaccines. The Fact Sheet is available here
