If you want to focus on the people you serve and not just the level of service your organization provides, consider celebrating Older Americans Month this May.  “Age Out Loud” is this year’s theme. With this theme, you can build activities/opportunities for residents to speak their minds, say what aging has meant to them, highlight how they maintain their personhood regardless of their need for supportive services, etc.  You can go a hundred different creative ways with it.  Lots of information, materials, and ideas are available on the Older Americans Month website.
