This summer, we are spotlighting the passionate, strategic, and dedicated individuals who guide LeadingAge Kansas, KING, EBI, and our Foundation to service and success.  

This week’s Board Member Spotlight features Kris Erickson, Board Chair of the LeadingAge Kansas Board of Directors.  

Kris has been an administrator since 2001, and currently serves the residents of Bethany Village as CEO.  

What keeps Kris excited about serving seniors? 

Seniors are fascinating people with great histories, but it is also fun to see young staff develop a passion for caring.

What does Kris like most about serving on our board?  

LeadingAge Kansas has been one of my best resources throughout my career. I chose to serve as a way of giving back for all the support I’ve received.

Kris would like members to know: 

I haven’t always been in senior care. I spent three years as a licensed School Psychologist. Elders are more interesting than kids!

Addy Cunningham
A graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. First as Administrative Coordinator and now as Associate Director of Communications & Events, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with the team to plan, produce, and market events across all aspects of LeadingAge Kansas, manage Continuing Education processing.. Outside of the office, Addy enjoys crafting, playing board games, video games, and DnD, and spending time with her husband and their two cats.
