Dear Members,

As we move into the second half of the year, I’m reminded how quickly our work evolves—and how important it is that we stay connected to the needs and priorities of our members.

Last week, we distributed our annual member survey, and I want to personally encourage you to take a few minutes to complete it. Your feedback directly shapes our advocacy priorities, educational offerings, events, communications, and strategic direction. We read every response, and your input helps ensure that LeadingAge Kansas remains focused on the issues that matter most to aging services providers across our state.

This year has also brought changes within our own team. Like many of our members, we continue to adapt, grow, and evolve to meet new challenges and opportunities. We said goodbye to dear friends, celebrated staff growth and promotions, and will soon be welcoming new talent to the LeadingAge Kansas family. Throughout it all, our commitment remains the same: providing strong advocacy, valuable education, meaningful connections, and practical resources that help your organization succeed.

Looking ahead, the remainder of the year promises to be both busy and important. As election season approaches, we will be providing you with lots of opportunities for advocacy and engagement. Keep your eye out for candidate surveys, coffee chats, election year engagement toolkits and a statewide candidate forum at our Fall Conference in Salina. With your help, our team will be actively monitoring developments, building relationships with policymakers and candidates, and ensuring that the voices of aging services providers are heard throughout the process.

The challenges facing our field are significant, but so is the dedication and innovation demonstrated by our members every day. Thank you for the work you do to serve older adults and for the partnership you share with LeadingAge Kansas.

Warmly,

Rachel Monger
