Here is the official “word” from Betty Domer at Health Occupations and Credentialing that CNA courses can be taught with the didactic (classroom) portion at the beginning and the clinicals in the second half of the class.

“There has been some discussion regarding the clinical portion of the course and when they should be held.  It has been determined that all clinicals may be held at the end of the course.  In doing this you will be free to schedule the units in order that fits your teaching as long as you remember they must complete and  pass all of part I class and lab before they do any clinical in the facility.  You still must complete the class schedule and content form for each class and have that with you during the course.”
