As we head into a busy election season, LeadingAge Kansas is excited to announce that our 2026 Election Year Toolkit is now available to members through the Advocacy section of the LeadingAge Kansas website.
The toolkit was created to serve as a one-stop resource for providers, staff, residents, families, and community members seeking reliable election information and guidance throughout the election cycle.
Members can access the toolkit by logging into the LeadingAge Kansas website and selecting the Advocacy tab at the top of the page. The toolkit includes direct links to official election resources from the Kansas Secretary of State, including:
- Voter registration information
- Polling place lookup tools
- Advance ballot applications
- Important election deadlines
- Election-related forms and resources
In addition to official election information, the toolkit contains resources to help providers navigate election activities within aging services settings. Members will find guidance on topics such as nonprofit engagement in elections, understanding what activities are and are not permitted, and best practices for maintaining nonpartisanship.
The toolkit also includes a guide for organizations interested in hosting candidate forums or election-related events. Under this section, members can find information on the candidate meet-and-greet events and forums that LeadingAge Kansas is co-hosting across the state during the 2026 election season.
Looking ahead, we will continue to expand the toolkit with additional resources. Later this July, ahead of the August primary election, LeadingAge Kansas will publish responses from state House candidates who participated in our candidate survey. These responses will provide valuable insight into candidates’ backgrounds, familiarity with aging services issues, and perspectives on policies affecting older adults and the providers who serve them.
We encourage all members to bookmark the Election Year Toolkit and check back regularly for updates throughout the election season.
