The Joint Bob Bethell on KanCare Oversight Committee and the Joint Administrative Rules and Regulations Committee are both set to meet on Friday, February 2nd. LeadingAge Kansas has submitted written-only testimony to the Bob Bethell committee highlighting concerns for the number of aged long-term care Medicaid applications and systemic communication issues with the agency. Our testimony also includes concerns about the rising contracting nurse staffing costs and how the state anticipates spending nearly $60 million between their two state hospitals this year.
