This month, LeadingAge Kansas is partnering with LeadingAge Virginia and LeadingAge Iowa to bring two incredible webinar series to our members.  

Governance Webinar Series 

CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Administrators and other decision makers, this series is for you!  This four-part series will explore industry trends, strategic planning and boards for one low registration price.   

The series kicks off on January 24th with a session on Opportunity at the Intersection of Strategic Planning and Aging Services Boards, presented by Chris McNiven, Founder and Consulting Practice Lead of Aspire Counseling. Then, on January 31st, Jane Mack, President & CEO of Friends Alliance, will present on Strategic Thinking for Boards. 

The series will wrap up in February with sessions titled: 

  • Everything is Changing- What About Your Board? 
  • Economic and Financial Trends for Decision Makers in Not-For-Profit Senior Living

Regulation Review Webinar Series 

We are pleased to partner with LeadingAge Iowa to provide this monthly webinar series throughout 2024 reviewing the regulations contained in Appendix PP of the State Operations Manual. 

The Regulation Review will provide attendees with a detailed review of the regulations including the regulatory language, interpretative guidance, examples of noncompliance, and strategies to maintain compliance. 

The first session will take place on January 31st from 1:30-2:30 PM and will cover Residents Rights. The intended audience for this session is Administrators, department leaders, social services, activity staff, and nurses.

Addy Mead is our Administrative Coordinator. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wichita State University’s Math Education program, Addy is using her planning and organizational skills, creativity, and love of helping others to support our providers and members. As Administrative Coordinator, Addy’s primary duties include overseeing general member communications through social media, our Weekly Member Calls, the Aging Update, and database and website maintenance. She also collaborates with Stephanie and Nicole to plan, produce, and market professional development events, manage Continuing Education processing, as well as assisting with office administration activities.
